LIMOR NAKAR - VINCENT

BIOGRAPHY

Limor Nakar-Vincent joined the BIRD Foundation on January 2002 as its US Representative. BIRD Foundation (www.birdf.com) was established in 1977 by the US and Israeli governments to promote and develop industrial R&D partnerships between companies from both countries on a project specific basis. BIRD provides conditional grants via direct cost sharing of up to 50 percent of project development, and product commercialization costs. It requests no equity or any other rights, and receives repayment of its grant exclusively from sales of the jointly developed product.

Previous to joining BIRD, from 1997 to 2002, Ms. Nakar-Vincent was the Economic Consul to the Southeastern and Midwestern US. In this position, Ms. Nakar directed the activities of Israel’s Ministries of Finance, and Industry and Trade in the Southern and the Midwestern states. Her responsibilities included the promotion of regional trade and investment with Israel, and increasing awareness among companies based in the Southeast and Midwest of the diverse economic opportunities Israel offers.

Prior to her appointment in the United States, Ms. Nakar was Director of the North American Department at the Ministry of Industry and Trade in Jerusalem.

Ms. Nakar-Vincent, who served in the Israel Defense Forces, holds an MBA and a BA in Economics and Management, both from Tel Aviv University.
